What do you want to achieve on social media? Examples
include: build brand awareness, increase leads, grow
engagement. Your social media goals should align with
your current business goals. Starting with this step
makes it easy to track + measure your success.
STEP 2
Create Your Buyer Persona
Knowing who your target market is will be key to
creating valuable content and increasing leads.
When it comes to building a buyer persona you
should look at things like: age, interests, location,
average house-hold income, job title.
STEP 3
Know Your Competition
Understand who your competition is and what
they're doing well. This will help you spot
opportunities, learn what's expected of you in your
industry, and learn where you can focus your own
strategy.
STEP 4
Choose Your Platforms + Brand Voice
Which platforms are you going to be on? Better yet --
where is your target market hanging out? You don't
need to be on every social platform. We like to start
with Instagram and Facebook. Then, humanize your
brand! This is a necessity when it comes to your
strategy. Build a brand voice that is relatable. If your
business was a person, how would they talk?
